<description>Incidently, I was going to write a bit of a tribute to Warped, too, but I had forgotten about it until I saw Brettthereberock about half an hour ago and went, "Oh yeah... shit."

I've lost count of how many times I've seen Warped, and they were/are one of my favourite Australian bands. Anyone who doesn't own "On the Make" (and to a slightly lesser extent, "Qucker Ways to Blacker Eyes") should really rectify that situation. I have so many fond memories of seeing them at the Tote from ages 15-17. Ah, the Tote, where would my underage drinking habit have been without you?

Anyway, I caught their penultimate (I think) gig at Meredith at the end of last year, and it was possibly the best show I've ever seen them play. So I'm glad that's the way I'll remember Warped - standing right up the front, raising my beer and screaming along lyrics while they rocked out under the stars.... I'm sure that all sounded lame, but I'm too drunk to care.

The "pointy end" is called a headstock. When a Warped headstock was near your face, there was only one thing to do - throw up devil horn signs and scream.

Also, it's not a "bass guitar", it's an "electric bass", or just a bass. Never associate us with guitarists. We're above it.
